About SSOS

Stop Systems of Silence (SSOS) is a group of New College community members who came together after learning that John Leary, the founder of New College, was a pedophile priest and that the current President, Martin Hamilton, did not share this information with anyone at New College when the Jesuit order informed him of this. SSOS took the lead in getting professional support services for survivors of sexual abuse at New College. SSOS is open to all members of the New College community, including students, faculty, administration, staff, and alumni and alumnae.
